The Saturday Mad Theater

A Lesser known Kaiju from Toho Studios, Gorosaurus... This Kaiju has no energy abilities but relies on its powerful kicks and bites. It first appeared in King Kong Escapes (1967) where it nearly defeated Kong, and then later on appears to be living peacefully on Monster Island in Destroy All Monsters (1968) where he displayed another ability: The ability to burrow underground. This was used by Gorosaurus when he was ordred to attack Paris. This ability seems to have been added when Gorosaurus replaced Baragon at the last minute in the script. While comparatively weak compared to the energy throwing abilities of many of the other Kaiju, it doesn't affect its bravery... and Gorosaurus was the first to charge attack King Ghidorah in Destroy All Monsters, and was smart enough to latter attack from the rear while Godzilla and Anguirus kept him busy from the front, even managing to knock the massive Ghidorah of its feet. Lets show a little love for Gorosaurus!
